Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. She has a mother who is English while her father is Nigerian. She grew up on a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. She earned her BA in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the school was when she performed in various stage productions including King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. She's appeared as a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer came from that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. She played Bambi on The ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 when she appeared on her drama The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. In late May 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the two previous seasons, would be leaving the show with a guest appearance on the first episode of the season's new episode. The actress played Tituba in the series Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. Her four older brothers were also in the family including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball during summers and hockey in the winter. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She would dance. So when she was just 2 1/2 years old when she was a little older, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley became passionate about dance following this. Ashley was a professional dancer in all the major divisions up until her graduation from high school. She competed in ballet, tap, jazz as well as pointe and Acrobatics. Ashley won the best soloist honor at each major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among a few.
