Chaka Khan

Chaka the Queen of Funk as she is also called she was an American music producer. Through her career that spans more than fifty years Chaka Khan has been awarded a total 10 Grammys. Billboard listed her as the 65th most famous dancer in history. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, she was exposed to jazz music by her grandmother when she was a child. In the early years of her career she played with diverse of bands. She later joined a band called Rufus. In the year 2000 she recorded her debut album, along as the rest of the group. The following year, they were awarded the first Grammy. The self-titled debut album in the years that followed her solo debut. Through the years she's released other albums such as "Echoes Of An Era", "The Woman I Am" and one song dubbed 'Funk This". In addition to her contribution to music, she's also earned a reputation as a charitable persona. Chaka Khan Foundation, which she founded to aid individuals and children with Autism and families in need. Khan can also be seen as an actress.
